As part of the Training Program of the RAISE project, Spoke 5 promotes a collaboration between the University of Genoa and Confindustria Imperia, under the patronage of the Foundation for the Promotion of the University in Western Liguria (P.U.PO.LI).

This initiative is part of the P3 | OFFICINAE RAISE project and aims to foster technology transfer and the adoption of advanced digital solutions by the production system through structured cooperation between universities, businesses, and local institutions.

“The collaboration with the University of Genoa represents a fundamental element in the path of innovation and growth for our region. We strongly believe in the synergy between academia and business, because only by combining skills, research, and vision can we face the challenges of the future,” said Barbara Amerio, President of Confindustria Imperia.

Special thanks were given to Prof. Nicoletta Buratti, promoter of the project within the University of Genoa, for actively involving the business association. Words of appreciation were also expressed for Dr. Elena Sparago, who played a key role in bridging the two institutions.

According to Paolo Della Pietra, Director of Confindustria Imperia, the response from member companies has been very positive: “We are particularly pleased with the enthusiasm shown by companies in joining the RAISE P3 project. Together with the University, we identified strategic sectors for the economy of Western Liguria and mapped the needs of the participating companies. This preparatory work will be fundamental in developing tailored training paths and promoting the introduction of innovative technologies into business processes”.

This initiative represents a virtuous example of public-private collaboration aimed at developing a regional innovation ecosystem and strengthening the competitiveness of local SMEs.

The activity is fully aligned with RAISE’s mission, which aims to generate economic and social impact through the integration of artificial intelligence, robotics, and sustainability into local production contexts.
