The acceleration path designed for RAISE researchers is composed of three programmes:
– Technological acceleration;
– Incubation and strategic acceleration;
– Financial acceleration.
To support research teams at the crucial junction of strategic acceleration, a mentorship program, RAISE up, was developed.
Technological acceleration:
This process is designed to increase the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of RAISE research projects by promoting collaboration between Spoke 5 and the research teams from other Spokes.
The technology acceleration pathway aims to facilitate commercialization of research results by obtaining POC (Proof of Concept) funding, by creating and testing high-level prototypes and by choosing whether to incubate or license technology based on project results.
The path guides research teams through prototyping, higher-level testing and helps them choose between incubation for startup creation or technology licensing to SMEs for strategic acceleration.
Incubation:
The incubation process offers to the start-ups a complete ecosystem for their success, taking care of them from idea conception to growth and scalability.
This process includes providing resources and support for ideation, team training, product development, market validation, business model development, financing, go-to-market strategies and constant engagement through a network of alumni.
By addressing the various needs of the startups throughout their journey, the incubation program helps them developing innovative solutions, creating sustainable businesses and contributing to the overall success of the RAISE initiative.
Strategic acceleration:
The strategic acceleration path supports SMEs in the adoption and integration of robotics and artificial intelligence technologies into their activities.
By providing a comprehensive support system, it helps SMEs increase technology awareness, plan adoption, secure funding, integrate technologies, develop skills, track performance, foster collaboration and enable growth .
This process ensures that SMEs receive the guidance and resources they need to successfully integrate advanced technologies into their business, improving their competitiveness and long-term sustainability.
Financial acceleration:
The financial acceleration approach aims to assist startups and SMEs in their fundraising journey, offering comprehensive support for every stage of the process.
This includes preparing for investment opportunities, connecting with target investors, supporting due diligence, structuring transactions, managing post-investment relationships, exploring alternative financing options and engaging with investors and the engagement with the financial ecosystem.
By providing tailored guidance and resources, the financial acceleration program ensures that startups and SMEs are equipped to obtain the funding necessary for their growth and development within the RAISE ecosystem.
