RAISE Spoke 1: experiments, results and impact
On 12 and 13 March 2026, Genoa will host two days dedicated to presenting the results and development perspectives of RAISE Spoke 1, focusing on urban technologies for inclusive engagement. The initiative will bring together researchers, companies, institutions and local stakeholders to share the progress achieved over the past years and highlight the technologies developed within the project.
The two-day event will focus on the contribution of new technologies to the wellbeing of people and communities, with particular attention to opportunities for technology transfer and to the economic and social impact on the Liguria region.
12 March | From Social Value to Economic Development
11:00 – 16:00 | BIC Genova (Via Greto di Cornigliano 6r, Genoa Campi)
The first day will take place at the BIC – Business Innovation Center of Genoa, in collaboration with FILSE, a partner of RAISE Scarl. The meeting will involve the business community and regional economic development stakeholders and will be by invitation only.
During the morning, researchers and project partners will present the journey of RAISE Spoke 1, illustrating experiments, technological results and opportunities to further develop the solutions created within the project. Participants will explore the transition from laboratories to the market, through concrete examples of innovation and insights into the experience of RAISE up, the programme supporting the creation and growth of new entrepreneurial initiatives.
A round table with representatives from businesses and economic development organisations will open a discussion on opportunities for growth and on the future evolution of RAISE technologies within the Ligurian context. The day will conclude with reflections on the technological legacy of the project for the region and a networking moment.
13 March | Technology Serving People and Territories
11:00 – 16:00 | Palazzo Tursi (Via Garibaldi 9, Genoa)
The second day will take place in the Salone di Rappresentanza of Palazzo Tursi, in collaboration with the Municipality of Genoa, and will involve institutions, local stakeholders and community representatives.
The meeting will highlight the role of technologies developed within RAISE Spoke 1 in supporting a city increasingly focused on people’s wellbeing and quality of life. Speakers will present the approach, results and impact of the research activities, showing how the RAISE ecosystem contributes to creating value for the city and its territories.
Throughout the day, round tables with institutional representatives will explore the relationship between technological innovation, public policies and territorial development, offering perspectives on future opportunities for Genoa and the wider region.
13 March | Art, Culture and Technology: New Frontiers of Wellbeing
17:00 – 19:30 | Palazzo Spinola di Pellicceria (Piazza di Pellicceria 1, Genoa)
In the late afternoon of 13 March, participants will continue the discussion at Palazzo Spinola di Pellicceria with a workshop dedicated to the intersection between technology, art and culture. The event will provide a space for dialogue on the development perspectives of RAISE technologies in the cultural sector and their contribution to people’s wellbeing.
The evening programme will include a round table discussion and a convivial demo-cocktail, during which participants will have the opportunity to explore some of the demonstrators developed within RAISE Spoke 1 and installed in the spaces of the palace.
The two days will offer an opportunity to share knowledge, strengthen collaborations and build new perspectives for innovation across the region.
Participation in the events on 13 March will be open to the public upon registration, subject to seat availability.
