AperiRAISE – Scientific aperitifs at the 2025 Science Festival

Five encounters, a glass in hand, and a look toward the future: this is AperiRAISE, the series of scientific aperitifs organized by the RAISE project as part of the 2025 Science Festival.

An informal yet substantial format that blends scientific rigor with curiosity, designed to explore how robotics, artificial intelligence, and technological innovation are transforming our society, work, health, and environment.

Each evening features a different topic and a direct dialogue with researchers engaged in frontier projects and laboratories. Participants will be guided through the emerging challenges of AI, collaborative robotics, medical technologies, and the new field of ecorobotics, in a convivial setting that encourages discussion and exchange.

The aim is to bring science into everyday spaces, making it accessible and engaging without sacrificing depth and substance.

The program opens on 25 October with “Bring Out the Real Robots!”, a talk on social robots and their tangible impact on everyday life, with Antonio Sgorbissa (University of Genoa).
On 26 October, Annalisa Barla (University of Genoa) presents “The Ethical Frontiers of Artificial Intelligence”, a journey through the moral and social implications of intelligent systems.
On 30 October, Maura Casadio and Matteo Moro (University of Genoa) take the stage with “The Language of Human Movement”, showing how AI is revolutionizing the study and rehabilitation of the human body.
On 31 October, Rosanna Turrisi (CNR–IMATI) explores “Artificial Intelligence as an Ally of Medicine”, focusing on the potential of AI models in diagnosis and neuroscience research.
The cycle concludes on 1 November with “Welcome, Ecorobotics!”, a conversation with Marco Faimali (CNR–IAS) dedicated to robotics and artificial intelligence in service of the environment.

Five evenings to experience science in a new way – with lightness, expertise, and a spirit of discovery.

Online reservation is recommended, as seating is limited.
