RAISE at the IAS-19 Conference

From June 30 to July 4, 2025, the 19th edition of the International Conference on Intelligent Autonomous Systems (IAS-19) will take place in Genoa. This event is a significant gathering for the scientific and industrial communities engaged in artificial intelligence and robotics.
The RAISE ecosystem – Robotics and AI for Socio-economic Empowerment will take part in the conference through a series of initiatives that include both exhibition and scientific exchange activities.
RAISE will be present with an exhibition booth at the Albergo dei Poveri from July 1 to 3, where the innovation ecosystem and five projects selected through cascade funding will be showcased. Cascade calls are one of the instruments adopted by the project to promote collaboration between the research sector and industry.
Throughout the conference, the Aula Magna of the Albergo dei Poveri will host short presentations of the participating projects, according to the following schedule:
– Tuesday, July 1 | 14:50–15:00: ENGINEERING
– Wednesday, July 2 | 14:30–15:00: W SENSE, BETWIN, SIMBA
– Thursday, July 3 | 14:30–15:00: MERMAID-AI, RAISE HUB
Companies involved in these presentations include ENGINEERING, W-SENSE, SPINDOX, EXIS, TESEO, PORTO ANTICO, NETALIA and ON AIR, all engaged in developing innovative solutions in areas such as advanced sensing, data management, distributed AI, and marine environment technologies.
RAISE will also participate in the final day of the IAS-19 Conference. On Friday, July 4, at the PwC headquarters in Genoa (Piazza Piccapietra 9), RAISE will join the Industry Forum. The event, titled “Innovation Bridge: from corporate needs to startup solutions”, will provide a platform for dialogue among industry players, startups, and applied research initiatives, aiming to foster concrete synergies between innovation demand and supply.

The 2025 edition of the IAS-19 Conference will unfold over five days, featuring thematic workshops, parallel scientific sessions, exhibition areas, and outreach activities. The chosen theme, “Ethical, Responsible and Inclusive Robotics”, aims to stimulate open debate on how to guide the design and application of technologies toward more sustainable and accessible models.
In this context, the approach promoted by RAISE—focused on territorial cooperation, market openness, and social impact—aligns with the broader vision of the conference.
