Integrated Innovation in Life Sciences

On 5 December 2025, the Simon Boccanegra Castle at the IRCCS Ospedale Policlinico San Martino will host the conference “Innovation and Life Sciences: Research, Enterprises and Institutions for an Integrated Ecosystem”, an initiative developed within the PerfeTTO project and supported by PNRR and PNC funding.

The event brings together representatives from research organizations, enterprises and institutions engaged in enhancing innovation within the Life Sciences sector.

RAISE will take part through an intervention by Programme Manager Cristina Battaglia, who will share the experience gained within the project and illustrate the partnership’s contribution to the creation of a collaborative model designed to support technological growth and strengthen national competitiveness.

The conference aims to provide an update on the pathway launched thanks to PNRR and PNC investments to establish an integrated model for innovation transfer. The proposed perspective promotes continuous dialogue among research, industry and institutions, encourages the exchange of experiences and supports the adoption of best practices that contribute to a dynamic ecosystem capable of generating new opportunities.

The programme includes two round tables.

The first, “Technology Transfer in Life Sciences: Models and Results Achieved in PNRR and PNC Projects”, presents the progress of major funded initiatives, including PerfeTTO, Mnesys, RAISE, Fit4MedRob and INNOVA. Speakers will outline processes, tools and results, with particular focus on governance models and approaches that enhance products and solutions developed within research centres.

The second round table, “From the PNRR Experience to an Integrated Innovation Ecosystem: Research, Enterprises and Institutions toward a Sustainable Model”, explores the role of institutions in supporting sector growth. The discussion examines the needs of research entities, the outlook of the Life Sciences market and the opportunities emerging from structured collaborations between public and private stakeholders. Particular attention is given to the factors that strengthen cooperation, encourage long-term planning and sustain a shared strategic vision across the entire sector.

RAISE’s presence contributes to highlighting the value of PNRR-funded partnerships in building an open, competitive and innovation-driven ecosystem. Participation in the conference offers an opportunity to present concrete results, foster dialogue among stakeholders and promote solutions capable of generating meaningful impact for the territory and the scientific community.
