Future scenarios of artificial intelligence in Public Administration

On 21 November 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Room 18 of the Albergo dei Poveri (Piazzale E. Brignole 1 canc., second floor) in Genoa will host the workshop “Future Scenarios: Benefits and Challenges in the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Public Administration”.
The initiative marks the second edition of Plan 1 of the P5 | AI for Public Administration project and is part of the RAISE Training Program coordinated by Spoke 5.
The workshop provides an in-person opportunity for participants who attended the course “Introduction to Digital Transformation and Its Role in Public Administration.”
The format fosters direct interaction with the lecturers through a Q&A session designed to explore in a practical and interactive way the topics previously introduced during the online course. In this way, the reflection on digital transformation processes in public administration is enriched by insights into the growing role of artificial intelligence.
The event will follow a structured program divided into three thematic panels. The first, with a technical focus, will take place from 2:00 to 3:20 p.m. with Professors Enrico Di Bella, Roberto Revetria, Luca Oneto, and Rodolfo Zunino. They will examine the technological aspects of artificial intelligence, including algorithm functioning, practical applications, and innovative solutions for the public sector.
From 3:20 to 4:40 p.m., the second panel will focus on legal perspectives. Speakers Michele Moriello and Matteo Timo will discuss the current state of AI regulation at both national and international levels, addressing key issues such as privacy protection, legislative developments, and the implications of using enabling technologies in the judicial system.
The third panel, scheduled from 4:40 to 6:00 p.m., will address organizational impact. Fabrizio Bracco and Michele Moriello will analyze how the introduction of artificial intelligence is reshaping the structure and operations of public administrations. The discussion will include ethical aspects, tangible benefits, and future prospects, with a particular focus on the healthcare sector, where AI shows strong potential for service improvement.
Participation in the workshop is free of charge, but places are limited and reserved for those who have completed the recorded course of Plan 1 “Introduction to Digital Transformation and Its Role in Public Administration.” Registration requires filling out the pre-registration form available at this link.
The workshop represents a valuable opportunity for public administration employees who wish to gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities, responsibilities, and challenges that artificial intelligence introduces into decision-making, regulatory frameworks, and organizational processes.
