AI and logistics: solutions for SMEs

Thursday, June 26, at Talent Garden, the fifth meeting of the P2 | BASIC AI & ROBOTICS APPLICATIONS4SMEs project will take place, as part of the RAISE Training Program under the coordination of Spoke 5, entitled “Smart Routes: Artificial Intelligence for Logistics and Supply Chain in SMEs”.
This event will guide entrepreneurs, managers, and logistics operators through the most recent applications of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in supply chain management, with a specific focus on the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The theme of efficient logistics and an evolved supply chain will form the common thread of the entire day, emphasizing the concrete challenges that SMEs face daily: limited resources, increasingly tight delivery times, growing complexity of operational flows, and the need to integrate accessible and high-performance technologies.
During the event, participants will explore innovative solutions already available on the market, capable of transforming traditionally supportive functions into true strategic tools for competitiveness.
Speakers and experts will offer in-depth insights into AI tools applicable across the entire supply chain cycle: from demand planning to advanced warehouse management, from real-time shipment monitoring to dynamic route selection, and forecasting of potential critical issues along the entire value chain.
Each technology will be presented with practical examples, providing a clear and actionable overview of immediate adoption possibilities.
Real cases and direct experiences will also demonstrate how the use of Artificial Intelligence can improve process efficiency, reduce logistics costs, increase operational flexibility, and contribute to a more sustainable and market-responsive business model. Therefore, the day will offer a valuable opportunity to understand how the concept of “smart routes” goes far beyond simple transport optimization, involving the entire business system in a path of widespread technological innovation.
Speakers will include Veronica Asta, founder of OPTIMeasy Srls, and Luca Calabrese, CEO and founder of LCS Liguria Consulting Solutions Srl, who will share experiences, expertise, and visions on the future prospects of digital logistics for SMEs.
This appointment is part of the Basic AI & Robotics Applications4SMEs initiative of RAISE Liguria, designed to bring local companies closer to the practical tools offered by new intelligent technologies.
