Abstract

The operation and maintenance of machinery in port areas used for loading and unloading bulk materials demand strict adherence to safety procedures and increasingly advanced skills. In this context, SaFeforPorts aims to develop and validate a complete solution that enables remote training through a VR simulator of a ship unloader and subsequently supports the operator in the field with a hands‑free head‑mounted wearable device that facilitates operation and maintenance tasks.
