On Thursday, April 16, 2026, in Genoa, at the prestigious Sala delle Grida of the Palazzo della Borsa, “RAISE CONNECTIONS – Results, Impact, Perspectives” will be held, marking the concluding event of the RAISE – Robotics and AI for Socio-economic Empowerment project. Funded by the Ministry of University and Research under the PNRR, the project brings together universities, research centers, institutions, and companies to develop and transfer advanced solutions based on robotics and artificial intelligence, with practical applications in areas such as healthcare, the environment, smart ports, and sustainable cities.
The event offers a moment to summarize and discuss the results achieved and the future prospects of the Ligurian innovation ecosystem, with a view to national and international growth trajectories.
The day will begin with a morning session dedicated to presenting the scientific, technological, and systemic outcomes of RAISE, alongside reflections on the long-term vision and opportunities to consolidate the project. The session will also explore the strategic role of innovation ecosystems in the socio-economic development of regions and the potential to strengthen synergies between research, industry, and institutions.
In the afternoon, discussions will focus on emerging scientific and technological trends in robotics and artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on public policies and the impact of research and innovation investment programs. Considerable attention will also be given to dialogue between PNRR projects, with the goal of enhancing ongoing initiatives, fostering collaborations, and outlining shared development pathways.
The event will conclude with reflections on the key themes that emerged throughout the day and a look at the future evolution of innovation ecosystems, including prospects for national and international cooperation.
RAISE CONNECTIONS provides a concrete opportunity to strengthen dialogue between institutions, research, and industry, contributing to guiding the next stages of innovation development in the region.
