RAISE AT THE CINEMA
Wednesday, March 25, at 8:00 p.m., RAISE Spoke 5 will present a special evening dedicated to the cinematic storytelling of innovation. Members of the public and stakeholders will gather for the screening of two documentaries that will guide audiences through the transformations generated by robotics and artificial intelligence in contemporary society.
Organized in collaboration with Circuito Cinema Genova, the event will create an opportunity for dialogue between research, culture, and the wider community. The Cinema Corallo will host a narrative designed to bring audiences closer to the technologies developed within the RAISE ecosystem – Robotics and AI for Socio-economic Empowerment – through the engaging and accessible language of documentary filmmaking.
The evening will open with “The Patient’s Journey”, a documentary produced by RAISE Spoke 2 and dedicated to the evolution of healthcare pathways in the near future. The film will accompany the audience through technologies that will reshape diagnosis, treatment, and the relationship between doctors and patients. Artificial intelligence will strengthen early diagnosis, digital twins will support surgical procedures, intelligent robots will assist rehabilitation, and ecological sensors will enable continuous remote monitoring. Through testimonies, practical examples, and a clear narrative style, the documentary will show how technological innovation will contribute to building a healthcare system that is safer, more efficient, and increasingly personalized, placing the individual at its center.
The screening will continue with “Leap into the Future”, a journey through imagination, research, and vision. The documentary, produced by RAISE Spoke 5, will weave together the voices of children, artists, researchers, patients, and citizens, offering diverse perspectives on what the future may hold. Moving from laboratories to real-world technological applications, the film will highlight the work of the scientific community and the opportunities created by robotics and artificial intelligence developed within RAISE. The narrative will explore the four major domains of the project—accessible cities, healthcare, the environment, and smart ports—offering a collective view of the transformations underway.
The screening will offer a space for dialogue among researchers, institutions, companies, and citizens, highlighting the role of scientific knowledge as a driver of development and collective imagination. An evening dedicated to discovering the technologies that will shape the future of society and care.
