Digital Museums and Generation Z: an opportunity for dialogue between RAISE and CHANGES at the Milan Digital Week

Next Thursday, October 2nd, at Fabbrica del Vapore — one of Milan’s most iconic and innovative cultural spaces — as part of the Milan Digital Week 2025 program (event link), the book “Digital Museums and Generation Z. New Challenges for New Audiences”, edited by Elisa Bonacini (University of Bari), will be presented. The publication is part of the CHANGES project.

Patrizia Schettino (CNR-IAS, Spoke 5) and Adriana Ferrari (ETT SpA, Spoke 5) will engage in a dialogue with Elisa Bonacini, Eva Degl’Innocenti (Director of Heritage, DGACP, Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur), and Maria Fratelli (Head of Special Projects Unit and Fabbrica del Vapore, City of Milan).

This event is an opportunity to discuss digital museums, youth, and cultural heritage, and to foster a dialogue between the CHANGES and RAISE projects on these topics.

Patrizia Schettino is the author of one of the chapters, focusing on design as part of heritage sciences, and the role of user experience designers and researchers in the development of cultural institutions’ websites. Adriana Ferrari will moderate the session, bringing in ETT’s expertise in multimedia and interactive tools aimed at improving accessibility to cultural heritage for diverse audiences.

The discussion will also cover RAISE projects involving Generation Z, such as Robot Valley Genova, the RAISE Cube installation in the atrium of Palazzo Ducale during the 2024 Science Festival, and the EXPOsing RAISE video for EXPO Osaka 2025, exploring robotics and AI for cultural heritage.
