Direct interaction with researchers encouraged constructive feedback, strengthening project proposals and fostering new professional connections.
The event featured thirteen teams across four thematic areas: inclusive technologies, smart healthcare, eco-robotics, and robotics and artificial intelligence for the maritime sector.
The showcased solutions highlighted the breadth and quality of expertise developed within the program, with concrete applications in rehabilitation, early diagnosis, environmental monitoring, and industrial sustainability.
The day concluded with a structured networking session and an information desk dedicated to the program, confirming the growing interest in initiatives that connect research, industry, and local development.
Market Meets Research (May 28, 2025): connecting technology and market
On May 28, the Sala Cuspide at the Genova Blue District hosted “Market Meets Research,” the third milestone of the second edition of RAISE up.
The event represented a pivotal moment in the program, aimed at strengthening the dialogue between research and the market and supporting the entrepreneurial valorization of high-tech solutions.
During the event, the eight participating teams presented their business models and growth strategies to a selected audience of investors and RAISE up community stakeholders, engaging in direct discussions on scalability, economic sustainability, and competitive positioning.
The session opened with remarks by Andrea Pagnin and Miriam Molinari, who outlined the program’s structure and objectives.
A particularly meaningful contribution came from Fabio Boi, CTO of Corticale Srl, who shared his experience transitioning from research to entrepreneurship.
The presentations and discussion sessions enabled teams to refine their proposals in a highly qualified setting, culminating in a networking moment designed to foster new synergies and collaboration opportunities.

RAISE up Webinar (July 10, 2025): “Let’s RAISE Innovation”
On July 10, the webinar “Let’s RAISE Innovation” was held, promoted by the RAISE up mentorship program.
An event dedicated to analyzing the main challenges related to innovation processes and the construction of more connected ecosystems oriented towards real needs.
The event was organized by Spoke 5, with the support of PwC Italia and I3P – Incubator of the Polytechnic University of Turin.
During the round table, key topics were addressed, such as:
– The difficulties in managing innovation processes;
– Innovation in complex and highly regulated contexts;
– The role of collaboration with startups, universities, and research centers;
– The importance of paths guided by needs, rather than technology alone.
Speakers at the round table:
– Pietro Amoretti – ESAOTE Spa;
– Fabrizio Ferrari – Aitek SPA;
– Fulvio Matrogiovanni – Teseo SRL.
RAISE up Pitch Day (July 23, 2025): innovation and investment
On July 23, Genoa hosted the RAISE up Pitch Day 2025, the concluding event of the second edition of the RAISE up Mentorship Program.
The initiative represented a key moment for showcasing technological and entrepreneurial innovation through the presentation of projects developed by the eight selected teams.
During the event, teams presented the results achieved throughout the mentorship journey, which strengthened the technological value of their solutions, consolidated their market potential, and structured their strategic and financial sustainability.
The Pitch Day offered significant visibility and a valuable opportunity for dialogue with investors, stakeholders, and innovation ecosystem actors, fostering connections between scientific expertise and entrepreneurial development opportunities.
Pitch sessions, organized by thematic areas, highlighted projects focused on inclusive technology design, digital health, eco-robotics, and robotics and artificial intelligence applied to the maritime sector, providing a comprehensive overview of the competencies developed within the program.
The initiative formed part of a broader innovation promotion pathway, also supported by the webinar “Let’s RAISE Innovation”, dedicated to strategic innovation management and strengthening synergies between research, industry, and the territory.
