RAISE at the 2025 Genoa Science Festival

For the third consecutive year, RAISE takes part in the Genoa Science Festival, strengthening a collaboration that brings together research, innovation, and public engagement.

The 2025 edition carries special significance: it marks the final phase of the RAISE Innovation Ecosystem, a three-year project that has united universities, research centers, enterprises, and institutions with the goal of transforming scientific knowledge into tangible solutions for the region.

Starting 23 October, the Genova Blue District will host the RAISE Village, the hub of RAISE’s outreach and engagement activities. The space will feature science aperitifs, interactive workshops, exhibitions, and experiential activities focused on robotics, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and social innovation.

The program will also extend to Palazzo Ducale, with two key events: the conference “Robotics and AI: Visions for the Future of the RAISE Ecosystem” in the Sala delle Donne, and the “RAISE Emotion” performance in the Sala del Maggior Consiglio, which will translate RAISE’s research data into sound, imagery, and theatre.

RAISE’s participation in the Festival offers the public an opportunity to explore the results achieved over the past three years and to discover the technologies and ideas that will continue to generate innovation beyond the formal conclusion of the project. The ecosystem leaves the Ligurian region a valuable legacy: a solid network of expertise, a culture of collaboration, and a development model capable of connecting science and society.

The proposed activities represent the culmination of a collective journey in which researchers, companies, and citizens have shared visions and goals. Workshops and events will highlight real-world applications of robotics in environmental protection, digital health, sustainable port systems, and smart cities—demonstrating how technology can improve quality of life and make cities more inclusive and accessible.

Through its presence at the Festival, RAISE reaffirms its role as a regional engine of innovation and an open laboratory for dialogue, where science meets people and becomes a shared future. It is both a celebration of the path completed and an invitation to look ahead toward new forms of collaboration and sustainable growth.
