RAISE at MetroSea 2025: research and innovation for the sea

RAISE sponsors the international conference MetroSea 2025, taking place in Genoa from October 8 to 10. The event, promoted by IEEE, brings together experts and researchers engaged in developing measurement methodologies and instrumentation systems for the protection and enhancement of the marine environment.
The sea has always been an essential resource for humanity: a means of transport, a reservoir of biodiversity, and a primary source of food. At the same time, it reflects the most visible consequences of global environmental pressures, such as climate change, overexploitation of resources, and seabed pollution. Safeguarding marine ecosystems therefore represents one of the major challenges for the planet’s future.
In this context, MetroSea 2025 offers a unique opportunity to discuss the most advanced technologies for monitoring, measuring, and controlling marine conditions. Scientific sessions will cover topics ranging from innovative tools for environmental observation to metrology-assisted industrial processes, from electronic system calibration techniques to sensors and signal processing methods for naval and maritime applications.
During the opening ceremony, the program will dedicate a special moment to RAISE, highlighting the project’s commitment to promoting multidisciplinary research and technological innovation. Participating researchers will present activities and results that connect artificial intelligence, robotics, and metrology to develop sustainable solutions for protecting the marine environment.
RAISE’s participation in MetroSea 2025 strengthens its collaboration with the international scientific and industrial community, with the aim of fostering technology transfer and creating synergies driven by responsible innovation.
The dialogue with experts from universities, research centers, companies, and institutions consolidates RAISE’s role as a key actor in building an ecosystem capable of integrating knowledge and skills for the benefit of the sea and future generations.
