Advanced course on e-procurement in Public Administration

The second edition of Plan 3 P5 | AI for Public Administration, coordinated by Spoke 5 within the RAISE Training Program, offers an advanced course dedicated to the use of digital technologies in procurement processes, with a specific focus on the new Public Contracts Code.
This initiative, part of RAISE’s training program, aims to provide public administration officials with updated tools to address the transformations brought by digital and technological innovation.
The course is designed for administrative officials, in particular for staff working in the field of e-procurement and for those responsible for digital transition. Fifty seats are available, with mandatory registration by 10 October 2025.
The training path consists of two sessions.
The first will be held online via Microsoft Teams on 24 October 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Speakers will include Professor Matteo Timo (University of Genoa), Dr. Giovanni Botto (University of Genoa), Lawyer Andrea Gandino (University of Genoa), and Dr. Valentina Varano (Italian Institute of Technology).

The second session will take place on 3 November 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., in Room Bensa, Via Balbi 5, University of Genoa. The round table will feature Professor Matteo Timo, Dr. Giovanni Botto, Professor Gerolamo Taccogna, and Dr. Valentina Varano.

Participation in the advanced course requires completion of the basic course “Introduction to Digital Transformation and Its Role in Public Administration”, included in Plan 1, with the attainment of the corresponding Open Badge.

Participants will develop specific skills to understand the implications of the new Public Contracts Code for administrative practice, leverage digital technologies to optimize public procurement processes, and recognize the benefits of e-procurement in terms of efficiency, cost reduction, transparency, and accountability.
Attendance at both training sessions will grant an Open Badge.
All P5 RAISE activities are free of charge as they are funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
The second edition of Plan 3 reiterates the contents of the first edition, held in May 2025.
