On July 9, 2025, at 5:15 PM, the event “SMEs and Robotics: Smart Solutions for Production and Beyond” will take place in Genoa at Talent Garden, Giardini Baltimora. This event marks the sixth appointment of the P2 – Basic AI & Robotics Applications4SMEs program, coordinated by Spoke 5 of RAISE Liguria as part of the Training Program.

The event will aim to explore the opportunities that robotics offers to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with a focus on concrete, accessible, and market-ready solutions.

During the event, advanced robotic applications will be presented, designed to meet SMEs’ operational needs in a flexible and sustainable way. Real-world use cases will also be showcased, demonstrating how robotics is gradually moving beyond large-scale industries to become a strategic tool for smaller business realities.

Through contributions from experts and entrepreneurs active in the sector, attendees will have the opportunity to discover innovative solutions capable of optimizing production processes, improving quality and safety, reducing costs, and increasing responsiveness to market demands. Special focus will be given to assembly, internal logistics, quality control, and automated sterilization, highlighting technologies ready for integration and adaptable to diverse production contexts.

Among the featured speakers will be Giorgio Castagno, CEO of Robota, a professional known for his unconventional and innovative background. With a degree in dentistry, he has led the development of robotic and AI-based solutions for the sterilization of surgical instruments, achieving significant results in the med-tech field.

Also speaking will be Gianluca Lentini, CEO and co-founder of the deep-tech startup Exsensia. Holding a PhD in Robotic Engineering from the Italian Institute of Technology, Lentini will present tools and approaches for intuitive and simplified robotic system programming, developed through his experience at the JOiiNT Lab and in technology transfer activities.

The event will represent an important training opportunity for entrepreneurs, technicians, innovators, and local stakeholders, who will engage in discussions on the future of smart automation and the benefits of a tailored, sustainable digital transformation.

This event will be part of RAISE Liguria’s broader initiative to promote the spread of advanced skills and technologies among local SMEs, strengthening their competitiveness and fostering a more innovative, resilient, and interconnected production ecosystem.
